Employee of the Quarter (2019 Q2) – Lonnie Robertson

Lonnie Robinson was born on September 13, 1966 in Cleburne, Texas and attended high school at the Texas School for the Blind in Austin.  Upon graduation, Lonnie secured his first job which was making boxes at the Lighthouse in Fort Worth, Texas.

Lonnie has worked continuously for 14 years at Beacon Lighthouse for the Blind. In 1997, he moved to Wichita Falls, Texas where he started working at Beacon Lighthouse, Inc. as a General Operator.  Throughout the years, Lonnie constantly worked to better himself.  He still migrates between Fort Worth and Wichita Falls.

As a Lead Press Operator, Lonnie shows exemplary dedication, quality, and pride in the work he performs. He was presented this prestigious award in 2006.  He is now the recipient again in 2018, thereby making him a second-time recipient for Beacon Lighthouse.

Lonnie enjoys watching NASCAR and Tiny House Nation. He also enjoys horseback riding, camping, and being highly active in his Church, located in Henrietta, Texas.  It is Lonnie’s dream vacation to visit Branson, Missouri. His goal while there is to attend all the country music concerts and sites. Additionally, he desires to find the right lady with whom to settle down and have a family.
